Pottr Support

Pottr is a pottery journal for iPhone and iPad, made and maintained by one person.

Getting help

The quickest route is inside the app. Open Settings → Send Feedback. That sends your message along with the app version, iOS version, device model and language, which is usually what’s needed to work out what went wrong. You can add a reply address if you’d like an answer, and leaving it out is fine.

If you can’t open the app, or would rather ask in public, open an issue here:

github.com/MarcMelgosa/pottr-legal/issues

No account with Pottr is needed for either — the app has no accounts and no sign-in.

Common questions

Where is my data? On your device, and in your own private iCloud if you have iCloud enabled. Nothing is sent to any server belonging to the developer, and there is no analytics or tracking. See the Privacy Policy.

My projects aren’t syncing between devices. Both devices must be signed into the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive turned on. Sync is offline-first, so changes made without a connection appear once the device is back online.

Can I get my data out? Yes. Any project can be exported as a .pottr file or a PDF report from the project’s share menu, and material libraries can be exported as CSV from Settings.

How do I delete everything? Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. To remove the iCloud copy, open Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Pottr → Delete Data.

I left a tip — what did it do? Tips are entirely optional and unlock nothing; every feature is free either way. They go toward the app’s running costs.

Privacy requests

To ask about, or request deletion of, feedback you have sent, use either route above and say so in your message. See the Privacy Policy for what is collected and why.
