Privacy Policy for Pottr
Effective date: 2026-07-24
This Privacy Policy explains how the Pottr mobile application (“Pottr”, “the app”) handles information about you when you use it on iPhone or iPad.
Pottr does not collect your data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software development kits. Nothing you create in the app is sent to the developer.
Information you create in the app
When you use Pottr, you create information such as project entries, firing records, decoration details, custom material entries, photos, videos, sketches, and your application preferences.
This information is stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, the same information is also stored in your personal iCloud account so that it remains available across your Apple devices. Your iCloud data is associated with your Apple ID and protected by Apple. The developer of Pottr does not have access to your iCloud account or to the information stored within it.
Information not collected
Pottr does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any other contact details
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or usage telemetry
- Crash reports
- Location data
- Contacts, calendar entries, or reminders
- Data from any third-party software development kits or services
The app requests access to the camera and photo library only when you choose to add a photo or video to a project, and only after you grant the corresponding system permission. Those files stay on your device and in your own iCloud account.
Leaving a tip
Pottr offers an optional in-app tip that you may choose to leave to support development. Tip purchases are processed entirely by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. The developer does not receive your payment information, billing details, or Apple ID, and the app does not record your purchases anywhere outside your own device.
Sending feedback
Pottr has no feedback form. If you want to report a bug or suggest something, Settings links you out to the project’s public issue tracker on GitHub, which is operated by GitHub rather than by the developer. Anything you write there is public and is covered by GitHub’s Privacy Statement.
Your choices and how to delete your data
You retain full control over the information you create in Pottr.
- To delete individual projects, photos, sketches, or material entries, remove them from within the app.
- To delete all data stored on your device, uninstall the app from iOS.
- To delete the data stored in your iCloud account, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, then Pottr, and choose Delete Data. This permanently removes the app’s data from your iCloud and from any device synchronizing through it.
Because the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing else to request the deletion of.
Children’s privacy
Pottr is rated 4+ in the App Store. The app contains no objectionable content and is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Security
Information stored on your device is protected by the operating system’s security features, including device passcode and encryption. Information synchronized through iCloud is protected under Apple’s security and privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated when changes are made. Continued use of the app after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
